A Healing Haven Thanksgiving On Us
College Park, GA - Over 220 family members had a little more to be thankful for thanks to the giving hearts of Healing Haven of Atlanta, Inc. Healing Haven recently held their annual “Thanksgiving On Us” dinner, providing hearty Thanksgiving dinners and smiles for families in need. The event was held at the Tracey Wyatt Recreation Center in College Park, GA.
Healing Haven of Atlanta made a commitment to become a resourceful aid within the College Park community in order to provide the resources that are needed such as clothing, food and other living necessities.
CEO and Founder Sean Chinn said the event’s purpose was to “feed families for Thanksgiving and provide a sense of hope and connection within the families along with the community.”
After teaming up with community partners, Connecting the Links for Change LLC, Kroger’s (6055 Old National Hwy, College Park, GA 30349), Berean Seventh Adventist Church, along with a host of donors and patrons, Healing Haven of Atlanta was able to reach its goal by feeding 300 hundred people.
Thanks for their generous efforts, Healing Haven of Atlanta, Inc., received several requests to come back within the community to host the next event. Excited individuals who applauded the event, felt led to inquire about volunteering their time and resources to fulfill the mission of “helping real people with real problems with real resources.” This event caused families to witness an organization who have the heart of a servant-leader, to become the resources that it needs. As an organization, it was more than humbling to witness love in action, as the people felt that they are loved and cared for.
